For Michel Chavez, known to millions online as its.michhh, the most meaningful part of her journey is not simply the scale of the audience she has built, but the feeling of having grown alongside them. What began as a personal form of expression has gradually become a creative world that continues to expand, moving naturally from social media and dance into music, fashion, beauty and live experiences. Having grown up on social media, Michel has shared many different stages of her life with a community that has remained present through her evolution. “The most meaningful part for me is seeing how something that started simply as a way to express myself ended up connecting me with millions of people,” she says. For her, the opportunity to invite that community into a new chapter, one centred increasingly around music and artistic discovery, feels especially significant. Looking back at everything she has created, there is a sense of gratitude, but even more than that, there is anticipation for what has yet to be discovered.
For Michel, being an artist is ultimately about freedom. It is the freedom to explore different forms of expression without feeling confined to a single identity. Dance and social media were once her most natural languages, but music, image making and other creative projects are now becoming equally important parts of her world. She does not see this evolution as leaving behind the person audiences first connected with. Instead, she sees it as an extension of everything she has learned along the way. The Mich that people discovered online remains at the heart of the artist she is becoming, only now with more space to explore. She envisions a creative identity where music, dance, fashion, beauty and personality can exist together, each revealing another side of the same person.
That sense of discovery is particularly present in her relationship with live performance. Michel is still at the beginning of understanding what performing can become for her, but her experience with dance has already given her a glimpse of the connection she hopes to create. After years of communicating with her audience through a screen, teaching her first masterclass offered something entirely different. Suddenly, the people who had existed as names, comments and digital interactions were physically in front of her, dancing with her and sharing the same energy. The experience made the distance between artist and audience feel smaller, and it also gave her a clearer sense of what she wants to bring into music. She hopes to eventually create that same feeling through live performances, allowing everything she has built through dance, social media, music and community to meet in the same space.

With millions of people watching her work, authenticity has become something Michel has had to consciously protect. She acknowledges how easy it can be to overthink when there are constant expectations surrounding what an artist should create, what an audience might respond to and what people might say. Yet she continues to return to the reason her community connected with her in the first place. They followed her because she was being herself. That understanding gives her permission to experiment without allowing audience expectations to completely dictate her direction. At this stage of her career, she wants to try new things, make mistakes and discover what genuinely represents her. For Michel, not everything needs to be perfect, and not everything needs to appeal to everyone.
Visual expression has always been another important language for her. From fashion and beauty to editorial imagery, she sees the visual side of her work as a way of extending the story beyond words. She is deeply involved in shaping the way her projects look and feel, from choosing looks and makeup to developing concepts and gathering references. As music becomes a larger part of her creative life, she wants to create an entire visual universe around it. Rather than allowing her music and image to exist separately, she wants them to feel connected, so that every photograph, video, performance or creative project carries the unmistakable feeling of belonging to her world.
Her personal style has evolved in much the same way she has. Earlier in her journey, she found herself following trends more closely, but with time she has developed a stronger understanding of what she genuinely likes, what feels representative of her and what allows her to feel comfortable. That does not mean she has stopped experimenting. Quite the opposite. Inspiration continues to arrive from artists, music, music videos, editorials, fashion, beauty, travel and even the endless stream of ideas encountered while scrolling through social media. Her style remains fluid because she does not believe she has to remain within one version of herself forever. As she changes, her visual language changes with her.

Michel also sees the changing creative industry as an era filled with new possibilities. Social media has made it possible for artists to build careers without following a single predetermined route. Her own journey is an example of that shift. She began by creating content and sharing the things she loved, gradually building a community that would eventually become a foundation for new creative ambitions. That digital beginning has allowed her to meet and collaborate with artists she admires while also giving her the opportunity to develop her own music. More importantly, social media has created a direct relationship between artists and their audiences. People can see more than the finished product. They can discover the personality behind it, witness the process and grow alongside the artist. For Michel, that closeness is one of the most powerful possibilities of the current creative landscape.
Behind the apparent ease of a finished post, performance or video, however, there is a much more demanding process. Michel understands how easy it is for audiences to see only the final few seconds of something and miss the hours that made those seconds possible. A choreography, video, song or masterclass can require extensive preparation, rehearsals, revisions and repeated attempts before it feels right. She describes herself as very demanding of her own work and is willing to repeat something many times until it truly represents her. Social media may have trained audiences to focus on the finished moment, but Michel has learned to appreciate everything that happens before reaching it. The uncertainty, the changes, the things that fail and the work that remains unseen have become an important part of the creative experience for her.
Looking ahead, Michel sees a future that extends far beyond the digital world where her journey began. Music is one of the central directions she wants to continue developing, with the hope of eventually bringing it to live audiences. At the same time, she wants to grow her masterclass project significantly. Her first experience of teaching in person showed her how powerful it can be to connect with her community beyond a screen, and she hopes to take that experience to different cities across Mexico and eventually to other countries. Collaboration is another part of the future she is excited about, particularly the opportunity to work with artists and producers while continuing to discover how dance, music, fashion, content and community can exist together.

There is something quietly significant about the direction Michel is taking. Her next chapter is not about abandoning the digital world that gave her a voice, but about carrying everything she learned there into spaces that feel increasingly tangible. The screen was where the conversation began, but she is now interested in what happens when that connection becomes physical, musical and immediate. Her journey is moving from content to experience, from expression to creation, and from being known for one form of artistry to allowing every part of her identity to exist at once.
If this chapter of her life could be captured in a single feeling, Michel would describe it simply as the transformation of everything she has dreamed of, created and learned into a new version of herself. It is a sentiment that reflects the nature of her journey so far. There is no sense that she has arrived at a final destination. Instead, she is continuing to evolve, carrying the lessons of the past while allowing the future to remain open. For Michel Chavez, the most exciting part of becoming an artist may be that she is still becoming.
