With nearly two decades in the aesthetics industry, Anna has witnessed skincare evolve from aggressive quick fixes to a more thoughtful, long-term approach rooted in skin health. Through her work and philosophy, she champions balance, education, and results that enhance rather than alter. In this exclusive conversation with Meri & Rime, she opens up about what modern beauty really means today.
With nearly twenty years in the beauty and aesthetics industry, my perspective on skincare has completely transformed. At the beginning, skincare often felt like a race for quick results, stronger peels, more aggressive treatments, faster effects. If the skin was red, tight, or peeling, it meant it was working. Today, I see it very differently. Real skin transformation does not come from forcing the skin, it comes from understanding it. I have learned that healthy skin is built, not rushed, less is often more, and the skin barrier is the true foundation of beauty. Now, it is no longer about chasing trends or dramatic short term results. It is about creating a strategy that works with the skin, not against it. Because the most beautiful skin is not the one that looks good for a moment, it is the one that stays healthy, strong, and radiant over time.
Balance is very important in modern aesthetic treatments. Today, the goal is not to change how someone looks, but to help them look like a fresher, more rested version of themselves. A good treatment should be almost invisible. People might say you look great or you look well, but they should not be able to tell exactly what was done. Too much product or overdone results can make the face look unnatural. That is why harmony matters so much. Everything should match the person’s natural features.

After working with many different clients, I see some concerns come up again and again. The most common are acne and breakouts, not only in teenagers but also in adults, often caused by stress, hormones, or incorrect skincare. Sensitive skin is also very common, with many people experiencing irritation and redness because they use too many strong products. Dry and dehydrated skin is another frequent issue, where the skin feels tight, dull, and lacks glow. Pigmentation, dark spots, or uneven skin tone often appear due to sun damage or acne. Signs of ageing such as fine lines, loss of firmness, and tired looking skin are also widely seen. A major problem today is that people try too many products at once or follow trends from social media. Most skin problems come from overdoing things, not understanding the skin, and lack of consistency. A simple, well chosen routine often works much better than a complicated one.
The beauty industry is always changing, so it is very important to keep learning. I stay updated through regular trainings and courses where I learn the latest techniques and treatments. I attend industry events such as beauty shows and workshops to discover new products and trends. I work closely with trusted professional brands like Chantarelle and learn about their innovations. My experience with clients also teaches me constantly, as every client is different. I also follow experts and read about new methods online. I never stop learning because the better I understand the skin, the better results I can give.
What drew me to Chantarelle was a few very simple but important things. First, it is a professional brand created for clinics and beauty salons. The products deliver real results and work on actual skin concerns like acne, sensitivity, or ageing. The formulas are advanced and use modern technology and ingredients that go deeper into the skin to treat the cause, not just the surface. They are also safe for different skin types, including sensitive skin, which is very important in my work. The products are perfect for both professional treatments and home care, allowing me to combine both for better and longer lasting results. It is a trusted European brand with over twenty years of experience and strong knowledge in cosmetology. I chose it because it connects science, safety, and real results, which is exactly what my clients need.
Social media and Gen Z trends have changed client expectations a lot. Today, many clients come with ideas from Instagram or TikTok. They often want fast results and treatments they have seen online. Expectations are very high, with many people wanting perfect flawless skin very quickly. Clients sometimes ask for treatments because they are popular, not because they are right for their skin. While people are more informed about skincare, they often mix too many trends and products. Social media has made clients more aware, but also more impatient. That is why my role is not only to treat the skin, but also to educate and guide clients towards what is truly best for them.
If someone is thinking about aesthetic treatments for the first time, I always say keep it simple. Start with a consultation and do not rush. You do not need to do everything at once. Begin slowly and see how your skin reacts. Choose natural results, where the goal is to look like a better version of yourself, not a different person. Good results take time and there is no magic fix in one visit. Following aftercare is also essential because what you do after the treatment is just as important as the treatment itself. Start gently and focus on healthy, natural results.

If I had to choose just three skincare essentials, I would keep it very simple. A cleanser to gently remove dirt, oil, and makeup, because clean skin is the first step to healthy skin. A moisturiser to keep the skin hydrated, soft, and to protect the skin barrier. And SPF, which is the most important one. It protects the skin from sun damage, ageing, and pigmentation.
One skincare myth I wish people would stop believing is that if it stings or burns, it means it is working. This is not true. When skincare burns or irritates the skin, it often means the skin is damaged or too sensitive, not that the product is helping. Many people think stronger is better, but in reality, strong products can weaken the skin, causing redness, dryness, breakouts, and damage to the skin barrier.
One beauty trend from social media that I secretly love is glass skin. It focuses on skin that looks smooth, hydrated, and glowing rather than heavy makeup. I like it because it encourages good skincare instead of covering the skin. It is about hydration, a healthy glow, and a fresh natural look. It celebrates clean, radiant skin rather than hiding it.
In an age of instant results and endless trends, Anna’s philosophy feels like a return to something deeper and more meaningful. Her approach reminds us that beauty is not about transformation overnight, but about care, patience, and understanding. True radiance is built over time, and in that quiet consistency lies the real secret to skin that not only looks beautiful, but stays that way.
